Japan Medical Device Corporation (Headquarters: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Directors: Shuichi Chiba, Takashi Okano, hereinafter referred to as “JMD”) received the Startup Encouragement Award at the 6th Japan Medical Research and Development Awards.

The reason for the award is “JMD is working toward practical application and commercialization of the heart simulator that has been researched and developed using supercomputers, such as improving quality and performance, building a system for providing services, and responding to regulatory approvals, and is expected to contribute to personalized medicine for heart disease by utilizing digital technology.”
JMD will continue to pursue technology that makes maximum use of computer simulation to reliably save as many lives as possible related to heart disease.
